Stripped Away

We're minutes away from kickoff of the Sunday Night Football game for 1st place in the NFC East. This has been called the "Game of the Week". Two powerhouses in the East. The Giants. The Cowboys.

But let's strip away the emotion of this being a hyped up game. Strip away the storied franchises. Strip away the supposed top QBs in the NFL, when both Eli and Romo have had their fair share of terrible plays and losses... THIS season. Strip away all that and what you get is two mediocre teams trying to make the playoffs. And as what, a 4th seed?? And possibly 5th??

No one expects either of these to make huge impacts in the playoffs, am I right? So it's a .500 team and a 7-5 team battling for 1st in subpar division (don't agree, look at the combined wins/losses in the East and compare it to CLEARLY subpar NFC West). Look for NO DEFENSE played tonight.

Yes, the Game of the Week.

  1. Yes GAME OF THE WEEK. And what an exciting game it was. Such hate from you. Could it be because the SF 49ers aren't prime time? Obviously no one wants to watch that FALSE team play on a national stage which is why they get no air time. But a mediocre team like us gets plenty of national attention. Week 11... Sunday Night Game of the week.... Week 12 Monday Night Football and now Week 14 Sunday Night Game of the Week. I guess fans prefer watching a "medicore" team that probably has the only legitimate shot at beating the Packers than a NFC West Division leader who will be wasting a spot in the playoffs.
