Week 3 NFL Report Card Grades (Bleacher Report)

As a fan of the Bleacher Report blog site, I am posting their extremely accurate grades for the NFL teams that matter to us after 3 weeks into the season.

Green Bay Packers: C+

Hard as it may be, let’s put the final play of the game aside (although it’s sure to be a topic of discussion for quite a while).
Once again, the Green Bay offense failed to fire on all cylinders, scoring just one touchdown on the evening.

New York Jets: B-

All’s well that ends well, but the Jets' come-from-behind win at Miami was hardly a thing of beauty.
And why should it have been?
A year ago, Rex Ryan’s team lost in South Florida on the final Sunday of the season, a 19-17

San Francisco 49ers: C

While this was obviously not the first loss of the Jim Harbaugh era in San Francisco, the unexpected 24-13 setback at the Metrodome was a bit of a head-scratcher.
Start with the 49ers defense, which allowed a surprising 146 yards rushing to Adrian Peterson and company.

New York Giants: A+

Per usual, the Giants found themselves in one of those “backs against the wall” situations at Carolina, and also per usual, they responded in a big way.
Playing without a number of notable offensive starters, including wideout Hakeem Nicks, running back Ahmad Bradshaw and right tackle David Diehl, it was business as usual

Atlanta Falcons: A

There’s no truth to the rumor that the Falcons would either like to move to the AFC West or play all their games in San Diego.
Atlanta’s 3-0 start—featuring wins over the Chiefs, the Broncos and now the Chargers—is the franchise’s best since the 2004 season

Week 1 Wrap Up

Hello all and welcome to my Week 1 "I'm Going Balls Deep 2012 Football Pool" wrap up.

So J-Rod only got a measly 7 this week. Its too bad I wasn't taken out to dinner on Sunday because I prefer to be wined and dined before I get FUCKED. That's exactly what the spreads did to me in week 1, they FUCKED me. A few thoughts on some of last week's games.

Giants vs Dallas

Well it wasn't a true to form performance for the defending world champs NY Giants. Tony Romo picked apart our depleted secondary in the second half of the game. V Cruz apparently danced way too much salsa Tuesday night as he had absolutely no hands on Wednesday and Nicks still really isn't at 100 percent. As usual Big Blue has already been written off by the so called experts. Its par for the course. Look for the Giants to bounce back against the Bucs as Eli Manning has some backed up elite, MVP, Super Bowl winning spooge to unleash all over the Bucs defense this Sunday.

One-niners vs GB

Now I was conflicted in this game. I originally took SF but changed my mind last minute ONLY because GB was at home. Big mistake on my part for not trusting my gut. As much trash as I talk about the 9ers I do realize this is a team that has a legit shot at making a Super Bowl run. My only critique is that we didn't really get to see anything from them last week. I mean they played GB. A team that was clearly exposed as being false last season. Its not the 9ers fault that they had to play such an inferior opponent. I believe this week's game vs the Lions will be a much tougher match up for SF.

NY Jets vs Bills

Now this was clearly a game that shouted THE PRESEASON MEANS NOTHING!!!! The Jets looked downright horrible all preseason. On paper they are just so much of a better team than Buffalo that again, I originally had the Jets this week as my pick. Again I went back, ignoring my gut instinct and switched to Buffalo because I could not get over how bad the Jets looked in preseason. Well the Jets lit up Buffalo and yet again I got FUCKED.

Here is what I call, The Inner Circle Pool standings after Week 1

Once again Gio "Pablo Escobar" TwoStep stuns everyone with his complete lack of football knowledge week 1 victory. This is the same dude that asked me why Mexico vs Spain wasn't one of the games listed in the pool. SMFH.

That's all I have for now. Be on the look out for my first "LOCK IT IN" picks of the season.
